Talk: about this site
This page explains how CollegeCouncil.wiki is written and sourced. The site is published by Okiro Education, Inc., the company behind College Council; it is a reference site about the company, not an independent encyclopedia, and it is not affiliated with Wikipedia or the Wikimedia Foundation.
How sources are handled [edit]
Every factual sentence on this site carries a numbered citation. Sources fall into three classes, and the reference list says which class each one belongs to:
- Independent records. App-store listings, domain registries, athletics federations, university rosters, Wikipedia and Wikidata. These are cited with the URL and the date on which the page was read.
- The company's own public pages. college-council.com, prepclass.io, okiro.io and the College Council app. A statement sourced only to these pages is a statement by the company, and the text says so where it matters.
- Publisher-provided material. Facts that exist only in the company's internal records: an incorporation notice from Stripe Atlas, analytics dashboards, account counts, product history. Each such reference is labelled "publisher-provided" and gives the date and the record it comes from. Where the underlying record is a screenshot or an export, the publisher keeps a dated copy.
Publisher-provided material [edit]
As of 5 September 2026 the following statements rest on publisher-provided material: the incorporation date of Okiro Education, Inc. (Stripe Atlas e-mail, 4 August 2025); the size of the Atlas university database; the number of pages in the marketing site's build; new-account volume in the 30 days to 1 September 2026; Google Search Console click volume; the Vercel Web Analytics figures for college-council.com; the product history of Prepclass and the Okiro SAT engine; and the founder's degree and use of the name Jakub Andre. If an independent record for any of these becomes available, it replaces the publisher-provided reference.
Numbers [edit]
Every number on this site is either quoted from a public page, with the date it was read, or taken from a named internal record with its period stated. The site does not publish estimates or projections, and it does not publish counts of admissions outcomes, because the company keeps no record that would let a reader verify them.
Corrections [edit]
Errors and requests for correction go to kontakt@college-council.com. Corrections are applied to the page, and the page's "last updated" date in the footer changes.
